If you're like me, there's not many things more satisfying than a lovely clean car/caravan and conversely nothing more annoying than dirt that just won't come out! In our household it's cat hair... we love the little critter, but their hair sticks to everything and despite regular vacuuming it just doesn't come out. In the boot of our car it's sawdust from multiple DIY projects that is the source of my annoyance.
So when we were offered the chance to test out the Electrolux WorkZone Z61A, it seemed to be the exact answer to my cat hair and sawdust problems... as well as a powerful motor, the pièce de résistance of this particular machine is the fact that it has roller brushes on the sucking end, which agitate the hair (or sawdust) ready for the suction mechanism to take it out of your life forever.
Does it work? In a word, 'yes'. In two words,'very well'. In regular vacuum mode it's a little underwhelming... not bad, just not any different to other handheld cleaners. But activate the brushes and it really shines, pulling up hair/sawdust/etc with ease. We now have a sawdust-free car boot and cat-hair-free sofas for the first time in months!
The only downside is that it's not cordless and is a little heavy, but I think it would probably be pretty difficult to get a motor this powerful into a battery powered unit. And if it were possible, the batteries would probably only last 5 minutes, so having a power cord is a worthwhile compromise. At least the mains cord is 6m long, so you most likely won't need an additional extension lead to get it out to your car and/or caravan.
It would be absolutely perfect for having as a dedicated caravan/motorhome vacuum as it's small enough to not take up precious stowage space, but powerful enough to whizz through your chosen home on wheels in no time.
