Elgin is a former cathedral city. Elgin cathedral is one of Scotland\'s most beautiful medieval buildings. The stone bishop statue in the nave looks like a giant chess piece. The cathedral boasts Scotland\'s tallest grave stone, it stands five metres high. Lossiemouth is a town in Morayshire. RAF Lossiemouth is one of the RAF\'s biggest bases located to the west of the town. Lossiemouth is heavily dependent on the RAF station for its employment. It was once an important fishing town. Lossiemouth marina holds yachts of all sizes and is a focal point for tourists who watch the coming and going of the yachts during the summer months. Rothes is a town on the banks of the river Spey. At the south end of the village lies the remains of Rothes castle which dates from the 13th century. Rothes is home to five distilleries. Glenlivet distillery produces single malt whisky. It is the oldest distillery in Glenlivet and the production place of the Scottish whisky of the same name.
