Burritos really are perfectly suited to camping, as they’re not only easy to make and cook, but can also be kept as a mid-walk snack to keep energy levels up during the day.
Ingredients
500g beef mince
1 red pepper
1 onion
100g salsa
100g grated cheese
4 soft flour tortillas
200g fresh mixed salad leaves
Method
First, cook the beef mince in a little oil and the chopped pepper. When it’s a few minutes from done, add the onion. Next, mix in the salsa to create the filling for your burritos. When it’s all come together, spoon the filling into the tortillas, then add the cheese and salad leaves. Lastly, wrap the burritos up in foil and heat over a campfire or barbecue for three minutes until warmed through and soft.
