Big Bear Lodge in Shropshire

Our campsite site is an oasis of calm set among oak trees with probably some of best views in Shropshire. We truly believe we are one of the best kept secret sites in Britain. As well as the spectacular countryside we are the home of badgers, foxes, bats, squirrels and are lucky enough to have a resident cuckoo who arrives each May. Birds that visit us include red kites, woodpeckers, swifts, buzzards as well as our tame robins. At night in our secluded location you can hear the owls and on cloud free nights enjoy starlit skys away from light pollution and traffic noise. We are close to where the rivers Vyrnwy and Severn meet offering a wide choice of walks, including a 10 minute riverside walk down to Melverley Church a 15th century half timbered treasure one of only two left in the UK.

Local shop with gas supply within 4 miles, village shop 2 miles, pub 2 miles.
Donkeys Wally and April, they are friendly and love a fuss but please don't feed them as they are fat!
Washing up facilities hot and cold water
Dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead

ARRIVAL TIMES:
Pitches are available from 2 pm on arrival day.

DEPARTURE TIMES:
Pitches should be vacated by 11am on departure day. Late departures by prior arrangement only.
