Thorncombe Farm is a small, family run, livestock farm in the heart of Dorset. The village of Bockhampton was the home of our famous author Thomas Hardy and many of the local places are the settings for his books. We are a certificated site and have good facilities including being a hideaway site though the county town of Dorchester is less than 5 minutes drive away. The site has beautiful woodland views; in addition the guest will have our pedigree Dorper sheep, Boer goats and the family horses for company, not to mention the abundant roe deer, nesting ravens and buzzards. The Jurassic Coast is on our doorstep for you to explore and we have open woodlands next door to farm that have many miles of trails for your enjoyment either walking or cycling. We allow open fires but with our supplied units and fuel. DOGS ,due to the pedigree livestock we will not accept at the campsite.
