Welcome to Penhalvean Pottery, Freedom Camping Club Campsite. We are a small, non-commercial, rural campsite set in 4 acres of beautiful, quiet Cornish countryside.

We welcome families and well behaved dogs (which must be kept on a lead) and can accommodate caravans and campervans with several electric hookup points available.

Campsite Facilities:
We have an area where we allow a camp fire, please see our page ‘The Stone Circle‘ for more information.

We offer basic separate mens’ and womens’ W.C. facilities with hot showers and a small washroom area with fridge, sink, microwave & kettle. We don’t have a shop on site but there is a butchers’ shop opposite and village shop in Stithians (2 miles). We have an honesty box where we try to maintain availability for logs and other useful camping accessories.

Not all of the 4 acre field is cut short and there is a path around the meadow area where we have mown sheltered pockets to hide away in. We encourage wildlife and there are an abundance of butterflies, dragonflies and swallows to be seen over the long grass in summer. We also have a nesting family of buzzards in the nearby trees and geese often pass overhead coming and going from Stithians’ lake.

Campsite Rules:
We want all of our guests to enjoy their stay so to ensure this we operate a no noise after 11pm policy and ask that guests strictly respect our neighbours at all times.

Reviews of Penhalvean Pottery

Lovely quiet site - stayed with my son and dog for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the space. Very friendly and welcoming. Basic facilities provided everything we needed, plus extras such as washing machine.
