Reviews of Gayton Farm

I stayed here with Shadow, my Labrador for a while in October 2018 whilst he had radiotherapy at Queens Veterinary School Hospital. Carolyn and Rob really are amazingly helpful and obviously love where they are. I have some amazing memories of waking up to the sun rising in the HUGE skies which I don't get at home. The site itself is small and because it's small it is a great get away in the fens, it's well equipped with electric hookups, water and waste facilities at the toilet block, which was lovely and clean through the whole visit. There are some lovely walks in the area and a couple of good pubs in the village (I only went to 1 of them but the food was good and the service 1st class). It's in easy reach of both the fens and Cambridge too. I even managed to get a couple of collars made for our dogs while there, everyone admires them and their beautiful stitching, we think the elves made them rather than Carolyn.

Thank you for a lovely stay in some tough times.

Steve.

p.s. Shaddow is still doing well and we still have that big soft green and white ball that he played with in your field.

We stayed here for just one night in our teardrop trailer, but wish we’d been able to stay for more, sadly work didn’t allow, but we’re booked in for 3 more nights & we can’t wait!
The owners, Rob & Carolyn are the nicest & most helpful couple you could meet. Rob even showed us the new lambs that had been born just the night before.
The camping field itself is level & very well grassed. The views from the field are amazing, as is the toilet/shower building. We’ve never come across such a spotless toilet & shower!
Unlimited hot water in the shower too!
Once entering the main farm entrance, you then make your way through 2 gates, giving extra security.
Although a small, working farm, this site is absolutely tranquil when you consider you are just a couple of miles from the A14 on the main road network, we didn’t hear a thing.
This sits is the best we have been on so far, has to be the best site if you are visiting Cambridge or the surrounding area.
The village has not just one, but two pubs, a recreation ground, many walks & also a regular bus service into Cambridge.
We will defin
