Reviews of Batcombe Vale Campsite

Sadly I arrived at this campsite late afternoon with my young family only to be turned away simply because we had come from a local music festival. I like to think of ourselves as a pretty normal middle class family, perhaps we were a little muddy at the time but we were truly shocked by the unfriendly greeting we received. We found ourselves stuck with no where to stay with two fractious young children, not a pleasant experience.

This has to be one of the friendliest campsites I've ever been to! Filled with families, if you have children of your own then I thoroughly encourage you to go. All the kids just play so well together and that means you actually have time to prepare supper and drink that well earned glass of wine! The walk down through the lakes to the meadow at the bottom of the valley is wonderful and is just asking for a picnic lunch. We'll be going back this summer for sure.

Peaceful, well-kept, truly beautiful campsite... Surrounded by stunning countryside... Run by a lovely friendly couple... Made a blissful week away...
