 Most of the Yorkshire coast is in East Riding. Bridlington is a seaside resort and minor fishing port on the Holderness coast off the North sea. Bridlington priory is in the old town. It was founded in 1113 as a monastery and convent. It is now the parish church.

Withernsea is a seaside resort. Its most famous landmark is the Withernsea lighthouse. It is an inland lighthouse standing in the middle of the town. The base of which features exhibits recording the history of shipwrecks and the lifeboat crews.

Beverley is a market town and county town of East Riding. Beverley minster is said to be the largest parish church in the UK. It has the oldest grammar school in the country. The racecourse is a thoroughbred horse racing venue and it has many visitors throughout the year. Racing has taken place here for over 300 years.
