Unique mini caravan that

A one-of-a-kind miniature caravan is to go up for auction in Derbyshire next week (May 24).

According to caravantimes.co.uk, Barry Jordan, a former Rolls-Royce employee, is the man who built the Jordan Airstream trailer. He compares the caravan's clever design to the time travelling police box out of the TV series 'Doctor Who'.

"The finish is of aircraft quality with 1,400 positioned rivets," he explains. "It opens up like a Tardis with an imaginative use of space."

Currently, there is no other caravan quite like the Jordan Airstream on the market. It's design is modelled on the classic American Airstream trailers, which were hugely popular in the 1950s.

Although it may be small, inside is enough space for a fold-away double bed, television, table and wash basin, reports derbytelegraph.co.uk. It's an ideal size for a single person or even a couple to go on a staycation in and it won't take up much room in the caravan park.

Celebrity auctioneer Charles Hanson comments: "I love unusual, beautiful items like this and when they have a connection with my home town I get even more excited."

Interested buyers will be able to bid for the mini caravan on Saturday May 24 at Hanson Auctioneers in Etwall, Derby.
