The National Motorhome Show 2016

If you are considering purchasing a motorhome for your camping adventures this year then there is still time to turn up and camp at the UK's largest motorhome show, which comes to Peterborough between Friday 15th April and Sunday 17th April. Though the advance tickets have now sold out, you can still camp from Thursday 14th for £60 and from Friday 15th for £57. The site will be open until noon on Monday 18th, so you can make a long weekend of it with the family and spend plenty of time browsing the 800 new and used exhibits from over 300 exhibitors.

As well as all the motorhomes and accessories to view, there will be plenty else going on, including the chance to win a seven night stay courtesy of Park Resorts and a visit from the popular comedian, Brian Conley. There will also be plenty of musical acts in the evenings for campers on the site and of course there will be plenty to do during the day as well. When you tire of the exhibitions you will easily be able to travel by bus into Peterborough or Stamford. Shuttle buses will make it easy for campers to discover the attractions of these two towns.

Peterborough is a modern city and yet still has a wealth of historic attractions. You can visit Peterborough Cathedral and the Peterborough Museum and art gallery. Nene Valley Railway is one of the top attractions in the area and should you decide to explore the area around then you will discover several stately homes, including Burghley House and the beautiful gardens at Elton Hall. Those interested in travelling further back through time should be sure to visit the astounding Bronze Age archaeological site at Flag Fen.

Stamford has a charming stone built town centre and is also a lovely place to explore. There are several interesting ecclesiastical buildings, including St Mary's and St. Martin's churches and perhaps you will come back in the summer months to get the chance to catch some open air theatre at Tolethorpe Hall, home of the Rutland Open Air Theatre, where you can see performances by the Stamford Theatre Company.

At the motorhome show itself, you will not only get the chance to see many of the latest models on the market and check out the models you like before you decide to buy, you can also attend talks and learn more about motorhomes and motorhome ownership and care. You can attend seminars about buying your first motorhome, planning a motorhome tour abroad for the first time or planning the trip of a lifetime.
