JUNE 2011: To celebrate the Great British Summer, Isle of Wight Tourism are calling all budding sculptors to submit pictures of their sandy works of art to its dedicated Facebook page to be in with the chance of winning a 7-day family holiday for four on the Island!

With more and more people opting for a "staycation" as their main summer holiday, the Isle of Wight is the perfect destination for all the family. Regularly topping the British Sunshine League thanks to its mild climate and with 13 award winning beaches inspected daily to ensure they are of the highest standard, it's the ideal sandcastle building location!

All you have to do to enter the competition is simply visit The Great British Sandcastle dedicated tab on the Isle of Wight Tourism Facebook page and click on the link to send in your photos. All photos will be uploaded to the IOW Tourism Flickr page and displayed on the Sandcastle competition gallery.

Entries will be judged this September by a panel from Isle of Wight Tourism, and will be based on a combination of creativity, uniqueness and whether it captures the spirit of the Great British holiday.

The lucky winner will receive a holiday for four* to Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park in Bembridge for a whole week! There will also be 10 fantastic beach party packs up for grabs for the runners up courtesy of The Beach Hut.
