A 67,000-mile trip around Europe in a motorhome has come to a temporary end for the couple behind the wheel, reports bbc.co.uk.
Chris McClenan and Catherine Warrington, from Ramsbottom in Greater Manchester, visited every country in Europe in their holiday vehicle over the course of three years. They had both quit their jobs and sold their homes in order to make their dream trip a reality.
However, they told manchestereveningnews.co.uk that they are not done with travelling yet. They have started up a company called Bobil (which translates from Norwegian as motorhome) and intend on exhibiting at all the camping and caravanning show in summer, then heading off travelling again in the winter.
Their adventures in Hector - their German-built motorhome - have prompted more than just media headlines, with fellow camping enthusiasts getting in touch. It meant they did not only stay at campsites during their trip.
Ms Warrington said: "The most frightening things for us were weather-related rather than people-related. People who have followed the blog from different countries have emailed us and asked us to come round. Total strangers have invited us into their homes and fed us. What we have done has captured people's imaginations."
In terms of how the life-changing trip has affected the couple, Ms Warrington said they are both much braver, while Mr McClenan claimed he has calmed down a lot.
