The Coventry Transport Museum is set to be transformed into a camper's winter wonderland, as the fourth annual Christmas Campers 'n' Scooters event rolls into town on November 23.
Sponsored by TMS Volvo, the much-loved Christmas Campers event will see Millennium Place - in front of the Coventry Transport Museum - transformed into a festive motoring grotto, showcasing the most stylish campervans, scooters and minis. All exhibits will be submitted by members of the public, outandaboutlive.co.uk reports.
Those presenting their own Christmas-themed vehicles are in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes. The best decorated vehicles will receive their awards from Widow Twankey and her son Wishey Washey - both characters from the local Belgrade Theatre panto production of Aladdin.
The event will kick off at midday on November 23 with a screening of The Muppets Christmas Carol on the big screen outside the museum, which is completely free to enter. Throughout the day there will also be musical sets by the Dayspring Steel Band.
So far there are 19 campervans, eight minis and three scooters confirmed to be on display at the show, transport-museum.com notes. Entry is still open - those interested can email clive.skelhon@culturecoventry.com or call 02476 234295 for more information.
