Caravan Manufacturers have said that they have experienced a boom in sales since the Caravan and Motorhome show at the NEC in Birmingham earlier this year.
Yorkshire Manufacturer, Coachman, managed to pull in a total of 356 sales during the week-long event. Its best sellers included the Coachman Pastiche, VIP and Laser which all sold well after their remodelling at the beginning of the season, caravantimes.co.uk reports.
This increase in sales may indicate that people are looking to buy caravans with the latest technology and now have the confidence to spend money on them because of the improving economic situation.
Preston caravan maker, Lunar, also fared well at the show and managed to rack up sales of £7.38 million. Lunar's latest range, which features the company's lightweight 'Core' build technology, attracted many buyers, with the Quasar, Clubman/Delta and Lexon ranges all selling well too. The most popular though, was the new Quasar range with the 462 two-berth and the 544 four-birth units both selling impressively.
Whilst speaking to outandaboutlive.co.uk, chairman and CEO of Lunar, Brian Mellor said: "We were proud to display our 2014 range at the Show and delighted that so many quality visitors came to view and buy. These sales give us a great start to the 2014 season and are encouraging for the leisure vehicle industry as a whole."
