Camping and Caravanning Club to host Christmas celebrations at 31 sites

Christmas celebrations are on the way to 31 campsites in the UK, thanks to the Camping and Caravanning Club.

A range of different Christmas-themed activities will take place at the sites, including fireworks and cake, New Year's Eve celebrations and quiz nights. Some 29 campsite in particularly popular areas, such as Scotland and the Lake District, will offer campers festive treats on Christmas Eve too, reports caravantimes.co.uk.

The Loch Ness Shores Site will give its visitors mince pies and sparkling wine on the 24th, then Christmas cake on Boxing Day. On New Year's Eve, campers will be treated to traditional Scottish Ceilidh dancing and fireworks.

Bingo and quiz nights will be hosted at the Oswestry Club Site between December 28 and December 30. In addition, the New Year will be brought in with a raffle, refreshments and a Cranberry Moss Winter Stakes game, reports outandaboutlive.co.uk.

Bob Hill, the Camping and Caravanning Club's sites director, said whether people want to join in with the celebrations or not, there's "something for everyone".

"Camping during the festive period is truly magical and unsurprisingly has proved to be really popular with campers," he stated. "Camping provides an emotional richness and there's no better opportunity to spend time with loved ones than by pitching up this Christmas."
