Stars & Wild is a truly rustic campsite for a back to basics camping experience. Set in a secluded and charming meadow, far from the madding crowd, in the heart of the Severn Valley, with stunning views and unspoilt stargazing opportunities at night.
In June, July, August and September we are open for very basic camping. The camping area is a secluded meadow surrounded by ancient woodland and adjacent to the Severn Valley Railway. We offer tranquil; apart from the nostalgic whistle of an occasional steam train; no-frills camping, overlooking the River Severn and the Wyre Forest.
The camping area consists of a meadow and an outside tap, providing untreated spring water. There are no showers, NO TOILETS, electricity or WIFI. Although most mobile networks can get a 4G signal. There are no lights on the site, which means you have unspoilt star gazing opportunities on a clear night. The campsite must be left as you found it and you will need to take everything, including rubbish and human waste, away with you. What you do get is a real camping experience, in a beautiful location, that is no more than a couple of minutes walk to the River Severn, the Wyre Forest, the Severn Valley and all it has to offer.
There is a car parking area adjacent to the wild camping area, for around five cars, cars must be parked sensibly as the car park area is small. You will be given the access code for the padlock on the gate. We are a family friendly, relaxed site and do have a no-noise policy after 10pm. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but must be kept under control at all times and be on leads.
Campfires are welcomed, but must be lit in fire pits, either provided by yourselves, or hired from us at £5 per night. You must provide your own wood and trees must not be damaged or wood scavenged from the campsite.
