Reviews of Foxholes Castle Camping

Another fabulous stay at Foxholes. Surrounded by beautiful views by day and no light pollution at night so the stars are spectacular.
Spacious pitches which are not marked, so you are free to choose where you pitch. The grass is looked after well.
The Shower/toilet block is kept spotless by the team who must go in several times a day to keep it like this. Hot water and clean toilets. No queuing which was amazing considering it was a busy bank holiday week end.
Hiring a fire pit is a must.
Great to see recycling and the use of solar heating for the water.
There is a lovely friendly atmosphere at Foxholes. People who stay here seem to have been several times.

I felt so welcome by The family who own the site Wendy & Chris. Bryony & Adam.
If there is an issue they would rather hear about it and put it right.
I hope they read this because they have their heart and souls in Foxholes and I love what they have done with the site since my first stay eleven years ago.
I can't wait to go back.

I love this place! Camped in the top field, with breathtaking hill views and acres of space, worth it even if the longest walk to the (modern & clean) bathroom block! There's free access to a fridge, big freezer, lounge room. All done environmentally friendly, with cute and quirky touches throughout. A lovely relaxed and friendly vibe to the whole place, and a nice mix of guests. I hope to come back here and would thoroughly recommend to anyone

Eight Lads made the trip to Bishops Castle from the US. We stayed in the 8 berth eco cabin. What a great facility! Clean, Comfortable, nice kitchen, large table outside. The Short walk to Bishops Castle is very convenient, as it was a a lads trip and had a few pub crawls. Bishops Castle is a great little village.

I am still staying here as I write this(Tues pm 17/05) but as all campers know the quality of a trip is governed by weather and the sites you use. This site is so good but unspoilt, and really beautifully placed for the Shropshire way and/or Bishops Castle. The shower/toilet block is immaculate and the facilities for water, sluicing and waste disposal are excellent too. The Tent dwellers arguably have the best views, but also the furthest ( but pleasant) walk to the services block. A knight in armour greets you as you arrive, but there are no stabbng pains as you pay for your visit. Excellent value, friendly owners and great, clean and well run facilities.
