Having stayed here once before we were so looking forward to going back. Fantastic location. However, on our arrival, we saw a large, loud camping group with tecno music blaring from car stereo. We moved as far away from them as possible hoping for a bit of peace and quiet. However it was impossible to get any peace. Too big and intimidating crowd for us to tackle and ask politely to be quiet....there are signs as you go into the campsite stating NO MUSIC on site.....a bit of guitar and singing would be lovely. Not Tecno from car stereo! The sign also states that anyone not abiding by campsite rules will be asked to leave. I spoke to the campsite owner when he came round to collect our money and asked him to have a word.He even said to us that these people wont listen! Not sure he even did speak to them as the music continued. Another camping group thought they would join in and put their car stereo on too! Later that evening by 10pm the music was doing my head in....I called the owners of campsite...who came down and not even sure if they said anything.... 8.45 next morning it started again. Luckily we went on a day's canooing only to return at 6 to find the party in full swing again. Most people who had been camped nearby the group had gone. We were due to stay another night but called the owners of the site and told them we were leaving and we wanted our money back for that night. Should have asked for a full refund. He came down, gave us refund for that night and basically shrugged his shoulders when we asked why they hadn't asked these people to leave when it clearly states that they would do that in the event of people not obaying campsite rules. Pathetic. Loos were reaking. Large skips for rubbish, very unsightly. No recycling facilities. Tressack Farm, you have really let yourself down! We will never be back, our weekend was not ruined as we had an amazing time on the river but we were so looking forward to an idylling stay by the river and a peaceful rest after a day's canooing. We drove home to somerset with 2 small, tired disappointed kids and got home at 10pm. What a shame.

Very wet ground but to be expected after all this rain we`ve had. Portaloo`s were put on edge of fields, sorry but disgusting. No washing or shower facilities, but water taps available in field. Pub 100yds away from field very good food and excellent entertainment, owners of field. Great views over river running next to area. Will not be returning due to lack of facilities but ok for wild campers and canoeists in river.
