The Pound Camping in Herefordshire

"The Pound" is situated in the beautiful Wye valley, with a large private garden running right down to the river.

In addition to Bed and Breakfast, we can host your wedding reception or other function. We also have a large camping site nearby which is popular with ramblers, canoeists and families exploring the area. Fishing is available.

We are located in Whitney-on-Wye in Herefordshire, a few miles from Hay-on-Wye on the England / Wales border.

Wye valley camping at "The Pound" provides a fun and economical base from which to explore this beautiful part of the world. With easy access to the River Wye, it makes an ideal base for exploring the river by canoe or kayak. The campsite is a popular stopping-off point for anyone making an extended canoe tour of the river.

Facilities
The campsite has an amenities block which includes power showers and toilets.

Breakfast is available at "The Pound" if you're too relaxed to prepare you own (please order the evening before).

Lunches and evening meals are available at the nearby "Boat Inn".

A small shop is located at the nearby petrol station if you need to replenish your supplies.

A fishing boat and/or rod & tackle are available for hire.

Don't forget, if you're in the middle of a long trek by canoe or foot, and you think you've earned a little luxury, consider staying at the B&B instead.
