Reviews of Nicholson Farm

If you want a simple site with lovely views this is for you, but as all the reviews say its Karen and Tim who are the stars, so helpful, friendly and can't do enough. Tim reversed my van on to the pitch as it was my first time, gave me some tips. Its a really relaxed, and just a great place to chill away.

We absolutely love Nicholson Farm - we try to visit a few times a year, and have never been disappointed. The farm is relaxing, family friendly and surrounded by countryside and wildlife. Tim and Karen are fantastic hosts, and Tim's farm tours, and other activities are always informative, enjoyable and fun. This is the perfect site, where children have plenty of space, and have to use their imaginations to make their own fun. Tim and Karen will do everything they can to help - they actually come and speak to every camper every day (despite the fact this is a working farm and they are very busy). The wood fires are a must, as are the bacon, eggs and sausages for sale. We will never tire of the views and the hospitality of Tim and Karen and would recommend Nicholson Farm to anybody.

Another brill weekend at Farmer Tims (as we affectionately call it).

We've spent many a weekend at Nicholson Farm and are yet to be disappointed. For us it's an ideal campsite to sit and relax, enjoy the scenery, play with the kids on the park, watch the milking and if you're really lucky the the birth of a cow or bull.

Our kids really enjoy Farmer Tims too. We're happy knowing that they're safe.

Tim and Karen are great hosts. With 20 pitches and only an hour's drive away, this rustic campsite is right right up our street. Give it a try why don't you.

I'm the proud person to turn up at Nicholson's farm, forgetting their tent. However Tim & Karen were fantastic in providing an alternative tent! (Thank God). Really pretty setting and especially accommodating for the children. It was our first camping experience (hence forgetting our tent), and would happily go back. Highly recommended.

Well this campsite is a real gem!! A wonderful family run site, Tim and Karen were friendly and helpful. The site is a 'cosy' size, didn't feel jammed packed even over the busy bank hol weekend. There is a playground for the kids, fishing, tractor rides, the chance for the children to help collect the eggs, bacon, sausages and eggs to purchase on site perfect for breakfast and a fab start to the day, animals to look at and much more. We were luck enough to have a clear night and star gazing with the fire pit keeping us warm it was amazing. This is a family friendly site where the children can roam in safety. Our dog also had a fab holiday at the dog friendly site. This site is a real treat and I can't wait to go back!!!

Fantastic campsite, everything a campsite should be. Fantastic views across the fields on a level pitch, set in a working farm which is great to see the cows, pigs and chickens up close. Kids and I especially enjoyed the tractor ride around the farm which Tim the farmer takes you round and is full of interesting facts and local knowledge. Faclities are really good for a small campsite and i would recommend the sausage bacon & eggs you can buy from the farm. Fire pits are great for the cold evenings which are supplied with a barrow of wood. The owners Tim and Karen can't do enough to make you feel welcome. What a great place would recommend to everyone, will be back soon.

wow! where should I start. we've just come back from a 2 night stay on Nicholson Farm, farmer tim and his wife were very friendly and were always on hand should we need to ask anything. this small and friendly camp site has a lot to offer, we especially enjoyed having a fire pit which farmer tim came and gave us firewood which kept us warm throught the evening. we also enjoyed having such close contact with the animals and seeing how the farm was run. this 2 night stay felt very relaxed and we all give it thumbs up.well done! and we will definitely be coming back again!!!!!!!

Just arrived back from a great long weekend at the farm.Tim and Karen are very friendly and do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. The views are breath taking as far as the eye can see.The thing i loved was that you couldnt hear any traffic, there is a pool for my hubby to go fishing so more peace and quiet, and we went for a farm tour, there is something for every one,i dont want to praise it up too much or once you have been you will go back and there will be no room for us,all i can say is it was one of the most relaxing sites i have ever stopped on CANT WAIT TO GO BACK NEXT WEEKEND.

What a lovely find. This small and friendly site has a lot to offer and some beautiful scenery. We only stayed for a short while but will definitely be back. Tim and Karen are excellent hosts and provided wood for firepits, sausages, eggs and bacon all home produced. There are lots of walks and areas to explore. We had a great stay.

This site is Hereford's best kept secret. From where we live, it's an hour down the M5 - its worth the trip and once there is like being somewhere a million miles away - it is simply another world. The site is small but, for us and our 5 children, this is a god send. Farmer Tim and his wife to be Karen are very helpful and go the extra mile to ensure your stay is as good as it can be. Its a working farm with a campsite built in; be prepared however to respect the farm rules and enjoy. In the summer its an absolute sun trap - watching the sun rise and sun set is simply amazing. For us, its a retreat where we can sit and watch the world go by whilst the younger children roam free in a safe environment. Dairy cattle, chickens, pigs, farm yard dogs and the odd tractor make this stay for us a world apart from the hustle and bustle of home/work. In a nutshell, this is a goldmine waiting in the wings. Well done and thank you Farmer Tim, Karen and Co...
