Powys Pods is a rural retreat hidden away in the Welsh Marches on a working hill farm. We provide an alternative to the traditional camping experience without losing the back-to-nature appeal that so many people seek. Our site is a perfect base for walkers, pony trekkers, mountain bikers, bird watchers, astronomers and for those who just want to enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside. Evenings can be spent relaxing, cooking up a feast on the barbecue or roasting marshmallows around the bonfire pit, all whilst enjoying some beautiful sunsets over the valley. You may even be lucky enough to see a red kite gliding effortlessly overhead in the summer breeze, or have the opportunity to gaze up at a clear night sky and look at the stars. Plus, we do not get any phone reception here, so have a true holiday!
We have a large pod ("Bryn-Gwyn") which can sleep up to 5 adults, a smaller pod which sleeps 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children and a Microlodge pod which has 2 comfy foam mattresses already waiting for you (just bring your sleeping bag and a pillow)! These all have electricity, heating and free Wi-Fi internet. There is also space available to pitch up to 5 tents below the pods, which is ideal if you are part of a larger group. We have facilities for less-able or disabled guests too, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
If you want to make your stay even more stress free and easy, we have camp beds to hire for a small fee. If you have a dog as part of your family, they do not have to be left at home! They will have to be kept on a lead at all times though as we are a working farm, and we will ask for an additional £5 per dog.
