Reviews of Lakeside Caravan & Camping Park

We have visited here twice in the last few weeks and loved it, pitches are spacious and the field is huge so with plenty of space for my 4 children to play and run about, staff are fab and really friendly they were even honest with us and told us it was raining when we called to check the weather prior to leaving!!! The bar has a relaxed atmosphere and the kids were welcomed and the food was lovely.
We did have an issue with noisy neighbours on the first night but once I mentioned it to the lady in the shop she said she would have a word and the next night was very peaceful!!! The grounds, toilets and showers are of a good standard and are well maintained
We will definitely return frequently as its an idyllic retreat from our busy lives!!!!

Response from Lakeside Caravan & Camping Park
Fabulous weather last weekend, we were very busy, glad you enjoyed.
Pro's:
Lovely location
Boat hire
Nice onsite bar with pool and foosball tables
Good, reasonably priced food in the onsite restaurant.

Con's:
Toilet block was a fair way from the camping pitches.
Portaloo's nearer pitches were flithy.
We had to complain about really noisy "neighbours" but I was told by the warden that i should be more considerate of the larger group that they were entitled to play music. Not the response i was expecting!!

All in all I would recommend visiting the campsite in the week and avoiding it from Friday onwards if you want a good nights sleep.

Response from Lakeside Caravan & Camping Park
We ask fellow campers to be considerate of their neighbours, a group were asked to turn their music down at 6.30 pm on Friday evening. On checking at 8.00pm and 10.00 pm it appeared quiet.
