Henstent Park is a small, peaceful, family run park occupying a spectacular elevated position in the Tanat Valley on the fringe of the Berwyn mountain range, which provides a stunning backdrop and superb views. Located in Llangynog, Powys, to the North of Mid Wales, just over the Shropshire/Welsh border and on the outer edge of the Snowdonia National Park.
The park is owned and run by Dean and Melanie Morris.
There is fishing on the river Tanat, which forms one boundary of the Park, as well as bird watching and stargazing. Locally there are good walks and climbing to suit all levels of fitness and, for the more active, mountain-biking opportunities.
Our emphasis is on peace and relaxation, so there is no club house, arcade or playground.
The friendly village of Llangynog (Llan-gun-og) is only five minutes walk and has two excellent pubs, both serving meals and snacks.
Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead. A gated dog walk runs along the river bank.
The Park is situated on the B4391, 18 miles west of Oswestry, on the Llanfyllin to Bala Road - It is easily accessible from Birmingham, Coventry, Manchester, the Potteries and Liverpool. Our Map Ref is 125:060260
