Henstent Park in Powys

Henstent Park is a small, peaceful, family run park occupying a spectacular elevated position in the Tanat Valley on the fringe of the Berwyn mountain range, which provides a stunning backdrop and superb views. Located in Llangynog, Powys, to the North of Mid Wales, just over the Shropshire/Welsh border and on the outer edge of the Snowdonia National Park.

The park is owned and run by Dean and Melanie Morris.
There is fishing on the river Tanat, which forms one boundary of the Park, as well as bird watching and stargazing. Locally there are good walks and climbing to suit all levels of fitness and, for the more active, mountain-biking opportunities.

Our emphasis is on peace and relaxation, so there is no club house, arcade or playground.

The friendly village of Llangynog (Llan-gun-og) is only five minutes walk and has two excellent pubs, both serving meals and snacks.

Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead. A gated dog walk runs along the river bank.

The Park is situated on the B4391, 18 miles west of Oswestry, on the Llanfyllin to Bala Road - It is easily accessible from Birmingham, Coventry, Manchester, the Potteries and Liverpool. Our Map Ref is 125:060260

Reviews of Henstent Park

Aweful customer service- very rude owners, who put the phone down on you!

We have booked the site for a tent for 2, had to reschedule due to an illness. Nothing was mentioned over the phone about their cancellation policy when we called to reschedule (apparently they don't reschedule at all- so why not inform the client?) hence we assumed all was well- as the lady said to contact them if we have any problems. Due to an illness progressing we could not come for the second time and asked to move the date, to which we had a gentleman speak rudely to us that they close for a refurbishment hence they won't do anything to help - And put the phone down!

We are appalled not about the refund - but about the manner in which we have been spoken to! Seems that all they care about is money and not the customers satisfaction.
They do not even provide a receipt for the payment or the booking so I would AVOID this site!
