Cosy Under Canvas in Powys

Award winning Cosy Under Canvas is a woodland glamping site on the Welsh borders, close to the famous book town of Hay on Wye. Perfect to satisfy your craving for the outdoors with no compromise on comfort. Think comfy beds, snug duvets, fluffy sheepskins and cosy rugs. But we’re off-grid and eco-friendly with compost loos, steamy wood-fired showers, private wood-fired hot tubs and solar lights.

There are 7 geodomes, all on decking with wood burning stoves and a private fire pit. Campfires are positively encouraged and the domes each have exclusive use of a wood-fired hot tub, perfect for steamy nights under the stars.
Keep warm under the thick feather duvets, contemporary Welsh blankets, throws, sheepskins, and crisp bedding, plus there are cacoon seats and fluffy rugs.
The 2 smaller domes are 5m diameter and comfortably sleeps 4 adults, 2 on a double bed and 2 on roll out futon mattress. All beds have memory foam toppers for extra warmth and comfort.

The spacious domes are 6m in diameter and sleep up to 6 adults comfortably. Two on a comfy king size bed, made from locally sourced wood, and the extras on double or single raised futon beds. All beds have memory foam toppers for extra warmth and comfort.

There are two fully kitted, shared camp kitchens, a Cosy Corner with everything you need to make the most of your stay - books, games, cards plus colouring and crafts for kids and a Cosy Lounge for relaxing with a book or perusing the local maps and information. Kids will love following the nature trail around the site, with feely boxes and a den to discover on the way and will enjoy getting stuck into their own little activity book.

Please note there isn't any electricity in the ‘Cosy’ woods. Impact on the environment is kept to an absolute minimum, there’s a Green Tourism Gold Award to uphold! There are private compost loos, plus eco wood fired showers with a canopy view. Alternatively more conventional showers are available where the water is heated from a biomass boiler.

There’s no mobile phone reception and no wifi - Cosy Under canvas is a place to enjoy a digital detox here.
