Located in a stunning 80 acre valley farm in the Usk/Wye Valley area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, our yurts are real Mongolian yurts (gers) that we import from Mongolia. They are hand painted with decoration similar to canal boats and lined with thick felt so that whatever the weather they are warm (or in hot sun, cool).

Each yurt is furnished individually but all of the 5 yurts have a comfortable kingsize bed and a mix of Mongolian furniture and futons but the emphasis is always on comfort so you will find lots of cushions and throws to snuggle into, ponchos for chilly evenings and of course the magic of a wood burning stove.

The yurts are sited on large wooden decks with a built in bbq and tables, chairs and benches on each, in a southfacing field bordered by a stream in a totally peaceful valley - buzzards circle overhead, a kingfisher flits along the stream and the yurt field is vehicle free so there is no car noise to disturb you.

A communal building built from timber grown and milled on our farm houses the kitchen and bathrooms, we try to provide everything you need - crockery, cooking utensils, fridge, cookers, even a dishwasher - this is camping luxury - all the benefits of outdoor life with none of the pain! The showers are hot and there is even a bath if you want to take a long slow soak after a hard day's walking or canoeing.

As well as a central campfire (wood supplied)there is a a boules (petanque) pitch a wood burning pizza oven, lots of rustic furniture including two huge tables, a safari eating tent and a large communcal bbq.

2 yurts accommodate 5 and 3 can sleep 7 so we can fit up to 31 people - sorry, but we don't have pitches for touring tents so can't take extras. We do allow single sex groups but definately no amplified music - this is a really quiet place and even a mini rave would jeopordise our relationship with the few neighbours we have so if you are looking to crank up the volumn please don't choose us!

We are 1/2 an hour from the Forest of Dean and the Brecon Beacons - both have lots of outdoor activities, mountain bikes, climbing, walking, canoeing, horse riding, sailing etc - and we are in the heart of a food lovers paradise -surrounded by gastro pubs and with Wales only two michelin starred restaurants close by.

Take a look at our website for more photos and information or ring if you have any questions.
