Reviews of Hendre Coed Isaf Caravan Park

I LOVE THIS PLACE AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
BEAUTIFUL PARK, LOVELY CLEAN VANS, FANTASTIC VIEWS, WONDERFUL FOOD IN BARS & RESTURANT. AS WE SAY IN THE BLACK COUNTRY: BOSTIN!

I found this site on line on the morning of 26 June. It looked lovely but I didn't hold out much hope of getting anything at such short notice for the same day on a boiling hot weekend. However, there was one caravan left. I went with my 16 year old son and a friend of his, my 10 year old daughter and our dog.

The lady who answered the phone could not have been more helpful and we arrived 3 hours later. The park is beautiful, very clean and set in a gorgeous location on a hill but overlooking the beach with great views. We were very lucky to get a caravan on the front with a lovely terrace in front of us where there were plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the sunset in the evening. The caravan was well equipped and spotless. The owners have catered for all ages and the children bar and games room is a great idea. Giant dominoes and connect 4, lots of colouring books and paper for the younger ones and a pool table and driving games for the older ones. Really nice bar and restaurant with excellent food and evening meals can be bought for £10 for two main course. Barmouth is just a few miles up the road, very easy to get to if you want noise but far enough away for peace. If we have one complaint it would be that the outdoor swimming pool looked really inviting, in its own area with a terrace and surrounded by the park, the water was clean and clear and the weather was scorching. We had been to the beach but it was covered in huge jelly fish so were wary of getting in the sea. The boys were dying to go swimming and we asked several times but were not allowed to use the pool as it only opened in July and August. To be fair I was told when I booked that it was not open until July but on arrival and seeing it full I thought they had changed their minds as it was so hot. I don't know if it was an insurance issue but the boys nagged me the whole time to keep asking. They are both great swimmers but the answer was no. But it was the only complaint and we had a really great time there. Most of the caravans are owned and many of the people obviously spend a lot of time there. Everyone was really friendly and we were made very welcome. We had planned on 3 days but stayed for 4 and have booked to go back again later in the year and would recommend it to anyone. All in all a little gem of a place. If the pool had been available I would have given it 5 stars
