Reviews of Conwy Touring Park

Stayed at Conwy over Easter, great location for Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and Conwy Castle. Dogs welcome on site and plenty of walks for them. Pub on site and play room for children Toilets and shower clean with plenty of hot water and cleaned daily sinks for washing pots and drying rooms if needed would certainly recommend and will go again soon

Had a lovely holiday here with all the family. Came in a group - total of 3 pitches altogether. We managed to get in this little cul de sac which worked really well for us. The pitches were nice and large, staff very friendly and helpful - they printed off a map, some directions for us and researched some areas for us to go. Toilets were always clean and the site seemed well looked after in general! There really are some beautiful views from the site as well. Lovely park!

Brilliant week at Conwy, the site was just what we were looking for. It was in a great location (about a mile or so out of Conwy) but still with lovely countryside views. The site is well maintained, we had no problems and the showers and toilets were always clean. Lovely site for children with lots to do, and we have a fantastic experience here!

This is a great family site, I honestly do not understand where some of these reviews have come from. We stayed over the bank holiday, it was jam packed and the toilets were still cleaned regularly. The staff were all very helpful, check in was quick and efficient. When you get there they give you a map of the site (which has a list of contact numbers for doctors, vets, taxis etc on the back). It is easy to find your pitch as the whole place is sign posted. The site is very large and can take a bit of time to get from one side of the camp to the other. Views were brilliant, the only thing it missed was a little shop for bread and milk!

We had only a short stay on the campsite over the bank holiday, but had a lovely time! Really beautiful views to be found over the site and there were plenty of children for mine to play with! The staff were lovely, and we have no complaints except for the horrendous weather! Conwy really is a great little town- will be recommending the area and the site to everyone! Thank you!

I think this site is really family friendly, there's lots for all age's to do, there are loads of places to visit.
The site itself has lots to offer, There is a good play area for the kids, and a clubhouse for the adults.
The club is very good, there is occasional entertainment such as bingo.
On the whole a very good site and would recommend it to any one.

We've been coming to Conwy Touring Park every year for the last 8 years, we keep coming back because it is family friendly, very safe and has some lovely views. It is a great place for walking, beautiful scenic views, nature at it's best.

We came to this campsite with another couple, and had an excellent time. We asked to be in adjoining pitches and managed to get in an area just the two of us (which was really very nice). Toilets cleaned a few times a day, and if there were any problems you can just pop down to reception and speak to the girls there- they were very helpful and accomodating (printed off some maps of llandudno for us with directions). All in all had a lovely stay, thank you!

Me and my wife had a lovely time here, the bad reviews are very misleading (or at least were for when we stayed). We had great views over looking the river, and we were in the clubhouse every night - there was a nice atmosphere and we met some lovely people. Me and my wife look for good locations, non-crowded areas and clean facilities. We will be back again!

It is quite a distance to walk from one end of the campsite to the other (to get to the clubhouse!) but to be honest we really didn't mind as the weather was lovely for us. No complaints about the actual site facilities however it would be nice to have a shop on site!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with my young family- the play area in the clubhouse was a lot bigger than I expected! Girls on reception were also very nice and helpful, very quick process of checking in- and I have no complaints about the park or the location - Conwy town is absolutely brilliant, take a walk around the castle walls!

This is an excellent site and I would DEFINATELY recommend to everyone. Loads of walks onsite. 2 parks. Pub. Indoor play area. Close to everywhere. The staff and Manager are always helpful. There are keycodes on the gates for added safety. Clean toilets and showers. Regularly checked. Plenty of space for ur tent/caravan not to b too close to others. Beer Fest and VW Fest were fantastic. Plenty to do. Lots of entertainment. Cant wait for our next stay.
Excellent Beer and VW Fest's. Really impressed with all thats included. Plenty to do. Good entertainment. Reasonably priced bar.

We have stayed roughly 3, 4 or 5 times a year for the past 4 years for weekend stays and extended weekends over the bank holidays and can recommend Conwy Touring Park.
We initially staying in a tent at the very first but for the last 3 years in our twin axle caravan.
Staff are very friendly at check in and they have always pointed us in the right direction to our pitch by using a colour coded map (A4 size).
All the fresh water and waste disposal are a short walk away.
The pitches are situated in cul-de-sacs of varying sizes, and with varying electric hook up amperage. (Worth checking when you book).
The pitches are well spaced out with easily accessible electric hook up points, and pitches are relatively flat with only a bit of levelling required.
I can't comment on TV reception as we don't use a TV whilst away, but mobile phone reception on Vodaphone is pretty good.
Walks around the park offer some spectacular views over the Conwy valley and river Conwy, which are well worth exploring.
The town of Conwy is not to far away - 10 minutes ish, and there are some good walks around the town and harbour. Conwy also has some CAMRA pubs if you are a real ale drinker.
Toilet facilities are really clean, and although we don't have any young children, kids around the place do seen to have a lot of fun. Its really child friendly and they can explore through the bushes and trees etc.

maybe considering storeing it there on a perment pitch wot we looked at while there.
as for the weather this year no one can help the amount of rain we have had this year pitches will get wet as for all other sites do aswell dont let people choose wot site u go on give it a try u be surprised ( sorry have put that in because to many caravaners/campers are finding it to easy to write things about such very little things that they have wittnessed while on camp sites to whitch puts people off when theres no need too not just this camp site others as well thanks ) see u in september conwy touring park

We had booked two hard standing caravan pitches for the summer bank holiday weekend. The pitches that we were allocated at the time of booking were in the Green Zone next to each other.
On arrival we found that they had booked us on a pitch in the Green Zone and our friends on a pitch in the Red Zone. These pitches are literally a car drive away from each other. My four year old daughter would not have been capable of walking up the steep hill between the pitches. The reception staff agreed to relocate us to the Red Zone, telling us that our pitch would be opposite our friends. The two pitches were in adjacent fields at an approximate distance of 200 yards from each other!!!
The pitch that our friends had was waterlogged and to their dismay had a pile of dog faeces on it. Our pitch was very difficult to get to due to the mud, when we finally got the caravan onto the pitch; it was literally like a swamp. Totally unsuitable for tents or caravans. We decided that we could not stay in this location and returned to the reception to complain.
The response that we were greeted with at the reception was absolutely awful. We were blamed for their error in the booking process. We told them that the pitches that they had given us were not what we had requested and we were leaving the site and we wanted a refund. We were told that the sites policy is not to give refunds, which in some cases is understandable but not when they are at fault. After several minutes of a very nonsensical argument they agreed to refund us, but only the £30 that we had paid on arrival and not the £40 deposit we had paid when we booked. We asked to speak to the owner or manager and were told that there wasn’t anybody on site that we could escalate the complaint to. This in its self is unacceptable on such a large site on a bank holiday weekend.
I can not speak for the whole site but the RED ZONE is what I would consider to be an overflow area that due to the adverse weather (obviously not the sites fault) was not suitable for camping or caravanning. The attitude of the staff is very dismissive and rude. I would never recommend this site to anyone and would never entertain the idea of staying there.

We have been to this site twice now and plan a third visit in 2012. It's a very big site set in the hills of Conwy with very good views. The pitches are very spacious and each area is colour coded so you can find your way around. The toilets and shower blocks are always very clean, there is also a drying room for towels and wet clothes attached to the toilet block along with a freezer for ice blocks etc.
There is a pub onsite with an indoor play area for children and there is also a park outside.
Once you arrive at the site you are given an access code for the barrier to enter or leave the camp. This is a very good idea as it makes it safer for children to play and roam about.

Really enjoyed the few days at the site with family, hoping to return soon, very clean site. Toilet and shower blocks cleaned constantly. Also great pub on site catered for young children indoor play area, which was a bless. The staff are very warm and freindly. Well done.

Conwy Touring Park is a very large campsite situated in the hills above Conwy, about ten minutes drive away from the beautiful town itself.
Despite being so big, it is very spacious and well organised into small flat fields separated from each other by hedges and natural woodland. Each area has its own shower block, toilets, drying room and dishwashing sinks. The shower block was modern and spotless.

The camping pitches were lovely and flat and were generous in size.

At reception, we got a security code which gave us access in and out of the entrance barrier.

There is a great pub on site called the Swallows Nest. It was a short walk away from where we were camping, and a great place for families and adults.

I would say this was a great experience and a lovely area to camp in.
