Reviews of Burton Hill Caravan Park

The site is ok for a short stay as facilities are good but not great. The site was quite busy and the toilet/shower block seemed to cope. The area is well worth a visit and food is good in the Smoking Dog, downside is all the pubs sold real ale pumped through chillers.
On booking, we were told that the site was full by one member of staff, only to be called a few hours later to say that we were booked in, by another member of staff, a bit confusing! We also fell foul of the noise police, a quiet conversation at 10.30pm in our tent was too much even though a group of youngsters were ok to have an outside drinkathon the following night till 2am?

Site is very convenient to walk in to Malmesbury. We took a bus from town centre to Chippenham and then changed bus and went to Bath, very simple as bus goes in to the bus station. Malmesbury is worth a visit, beautiful abbey.

They have a room where you can use a fridge/freezer, books/magazines to use. Site was level but seems to have young people living there in caravans.

The thing that let the site down for us was the shower/toilet block, it was dirty, cold and smelt of a dirty mop. It was the first time we have never used the wash facilities on a site.
