Reviews of Berry Hill RFC (Forest of Dean)

I stewarded a Caravan Club 10 day Rally with 30 'vans and could not fault the site. Having the use of the Clubhouse with very friendly staff really made our Holiday. Plan to return in 2013. Ideally located for site seeing and visiting the local Pub.

Absolutely brilliant campsite. Stayed for two nights, with a selection of tents and a van/camper.

The field is a nice size and perfectly flat (got the sun lovely!!) Facilities are nice and easy to locate, clean toilet and a communal shower (with a key for those who are not naturalists :D) which was brilliant for the price. Lovely warm shower :)

Location could not have been better. A small track leads straight into the woods which were great for walks and cycling (superb trails, you could easily spend a week there and not see everything!) Canoeing centers, Puzzlewood and Clearwell caves (among others) only a few miles away.
Amazing pub just down the road, did fantastic food that was good value. Shop and chinese takeaway also within walking distance.

Owners were brilliant, with lots of suggestions of places to go and ways to get around, very friendly.

We are already talking about going back to the Forest of Dean and this will be the only campsite we would choose!!!

Cant fault the rugby ground at berry hill, just give them a call and they'll make sure you looked after on the site.
Even with a motorhome the ground would be perfect for tents, only £5 a night is a steal, far far cheaper than the local campsites and just as close (ie next door) to beautiful woodland walks.
