Camping Pods in Devon
Quarry Pods, nestled down in Dunsdon Farms historic stone quarry, this is camping for the 21st century.

Waterproof, cosy and sleeping up to four (in comfort), our Quarry Pods are available form 1st of March until 31st of October. A step up from the traditional bothy, our Devon camping pods are camping with comfort.

Quarry pods are probably best described as a wooden tent, simple enough in structure but able to be made into anything you want, whether you fancy transforming it into a luxury pad for the weekend or keeping it sparse for that ‘get away from it all’ week. Whatever the time of year, your Devon camping pod will be properly toasty and cosy against the outside weather, with double glazed windows and sheep’s wool insulation for the walls, and what’s more they, are all fitted with an electric heater.

Depending on your needs, you can have the basic pod to place your own bed roll (sleeping bag etc.) or sleep packs can be provided, all pods have mains electricity, lighting and a cool-box. This is comfortable camping, but some may call it glamping., or luxury camping.

For your comfort and convenience, each pod also has its own private bathroom, with shower, sink and wash basin, situated in a block adjacent to the pods, so no shared showering facilities (and carrying wash gear to and fro!)

Also provided is a large covered area, with tables and chairs and a Rainy Day room (for those uncommonly damp days), where you can chat, have a coffee, play games or just chill!!.

Whilst on the farm you'll also have access to our 23 acre woodland nature reserve with walks and wildlife pond, great for pond dipping with the kids !!

Reviews of Quarry Pods

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Quarry pods; from the beautiful setting through to the private bathroom facilities, the experience was faultless.

The pods were more spacious than expected and the cool box was a neat idea. We were also pleased that the pod had an electric point so we could charge our phone. The pods are located in a secluded spot and waking up each morning to the stunning views across the Devon countryside was amazing. We opted for the sleep packs which made the pods very comfortable and also saved us the hassle of taking our own gear.

The Quarry pods are ideally located and are not far from the North Cornwall coast and beaches of Bude. They are also not too far from Padstow and Port Isaac which are worth a visit.

Fortunately we didn’t need to make use of the rainy day room but it looked to be a nice place to chill out and relax should the weather not be favourable.

The prices were reasonable and we will definitely be returning to the Quarry Pods next year.
