Our eco friendly yurts (Yabins) are nestled in the heart of the Blackdown Hills in Devon. This provides an excellent base for exploring the surrounding Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the whole of the South West of England. Whether you want to cosy up in front of your own wood burner, or stargaze huddled around a firepit, our peaceful and friendly environment will make you feel right at home.

Our three yurts sit 100ft apart in a large flat field, in a very peaceful and tranquil area full of wildlife. We have two shower rooms and a washing up point all heated by a wood burner, the water comes from our own bore hole and the only electricity on site is the solar powered lighting. All of the wood is sourced on site from sustainable sources. Each of our yurts are beautifully decorated in three themes, Moroccan, Scandinavian and of course Mongolian. Each yurt is fully furnished and has a wood burning stove to cook on and to keep you warm. If the weather is fine you can light a campfire under the stars.

We are situated 10 minutes drive from the market town of Honiton, and 25 minutes from Axminster, the home of Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage Canteen and HQ. There are lots of walks and cycle routes in the area on offer, and also lots of good country pubs and restaurants a short drive away. Day trips are possible to Dartmoor, Exmoor and both the North & South coasts of Devon.

Reviews of Grey Willow Yurts

A fantastic and unique experience. The site is so quiet with walks from the yurt, so leave the car behind. Living with out electricity was refreshing. No mobiles interrupting the peace, no t.v. distracting you.The yurt was well stocked with water and tea lights and very romantic. The woodburner kept us warm and quickly heated up for tea and for cooking on. The owners were friendly and accommodating and on site daily. Good on them for trying something different!
