Reviews of Manor Farm Shop
A fantastic, family friendly campsite with amazing views, great food and a very warm welcome from Dave and his team.
The children loved the animals and the freedom they had to explore, and said the site was "Awesome!".
With Bristol and Bath within easy reach it was the perfect location for our long weekend away.
Definately a site we will re-visit.
In short, this campsite is just about perfect. With great views overlooking Bristol and the surrounding countryside, quiet location, great pub just down the road. Not to mention the farm shop/cafe that's great for breakfasts and the owners really are so friendly!
There seemed to be loads of good walks in the imediate area too (weather prevented us from exploring too far!)
It was also the little touches that made this campsite stand out from others. Like providing old feeding troughs and fiewood to enable us to have a good old fashioned camp fire, and placing good, solid but moveable picnic benches for us to use in the tent field. Toilet/shower block was obviously new and well looked after too, although might seem small if the campsite got busy.
It was such a shame that the weather was so poor when we stayed. Definitely fancy going back when we can be hopefull of better weather!
After a warm reception by a very friendly, laid back owner, we settled down to camp.
The facilities although small (one shower / 2 toilets) were very modern, clean and well situated. The site had soft grassy ground, ideal for tents, and wonderful sweeping views of the Somerset countryside.
Within a 2 min walk was a charming pub, with friendly staff, which served good food.
The farm itself is a chilli farm, with a shop sporting many ranges of dips, sauces and chutneys at reasonable prices.
We were also offered full English farm-house breakfasts for the entire group (seven of us) which were of a wonderful quality, with fresh organic meats and eggs.
All in all, I strongly recommend Manor Farm, and for the reasonable price of £5/night (£11 with breakfast) I'd definitely pay a return visit!
