Reviews of Bay View Caravan & Camping Park

spent a week here last summer , lovely right next to the beach we went in august and i do think they rather overfill the campsite (it resembled a car park at times)and it would have been nice to have a game of ball with the kids ,but no ball games allowed , i understand that for safety reasons they have to be very strict but it wouldnt hurt them to lighten up a little bit .

Our first camping holiday, we found this to be a lovely location (right by the sea) however our first night we sat around a table playing a family game of monopoly, however come 11pm were told off for being too noisy ! we had no music just old fashioned board games. Children were not allowed to play with their games, bbq's not allowed to be started with wood, only firelighters ? and to top it off 1 night on a walk back from the beach the man had 2 dogs 1 a doberman which was snarling and growling at me, almost got loose from lead headed straight for me! Quite a frightening experience. Most of the campers felt the same about the issues and I think the staff/management need to be a more customer friendly and remember this is our holiday..... even if it isn't theirs !

Response from Bay View Caravan & Camping Park
I think that the reviewers lack of camping experience is reflected in his comments. In common with most campsites we operate a quiet time between 2300-0730 as most people are trying to sleep during this time.We ask people to lower voices and turn off music. We have worked hard to acheive awards from various organisations including the tourist board and David Bellamy and we are very proud of our site.It is not acceptable to tear down branches of the surrounding trees and bushes to light BBQS.We sell charcoal and firelighters in our shop and provide bricks to put under BBQs to avoid destroying the grass. These rules are are applied to ensure every camper has a clean and tidy pitch.
The wardens do not own large dogs, I can only presume this was a local resident or a fellow camper, unless we are made aware of a problem when it occurs we can not do anything to rectify it.
The high number of repeat visitors indicate that our customers are happy with the way our site is run. Our staff are helpful and courteous, however when people do not show respect for our site this is difficult.Had the reviewer read our terms and conditions they would have been able to decide in advance if our site was suitable for them.
