Glamping in Scotland in luxury camping pods in the idyllic Hebridean village of Mangersta on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis. Each of two Wigwam cabins sleeps up to 4 people; Each of 2 Shepherd's Huts sleep up to 2 people. All units have private en-suite shower rooms and kitchen/dining areas for self catering. Facilities include a shared camp fire/BBQ pit set within a stunning circular dry-stone wall. The cabins are located on a working croft where we keep a small herd of Aberdeen Angus cows and Black-face sheep. Designated a National Scenic Area, due to the outstanding natural beauty of the coastal landscape, the Uig area is famed for its numerous white shell sand beaches, rocky coves, crystal clear turquoise seas, dramatic cliffs, rugged hills & gentle machair grasslands carpeted with wild flowers during the summer months. This wilderness landscape is rich in flora, fauna & bird-life including golden eagles & sea eagles. Opportunities for outdoor activities are numerous - hill walking, fishing, surfing, kayaking, sea-cliff climbing, boat trips or gentle strolls along the shore. Mangersta Croft Holidays are a hidden escape in one of the most beautiful & remote parts of Europe. For availability and online booking please see our web-site.
