Lickisto Blackhouse Camping in Hebrides

We have just returned from 3 excellent days at the Yurt and friends of ours were camping at Lickisto. The facilities and friendliness of the owners and 'staff' Adrian, was first class. Initial walk around to familiarise ourselves with the facilities and locations. It is a very sympathetically located campsite, the Yurts are in a elevated position, also good to deter the ' wee beasties' if there is a breeze. The 'Black house' and shower / toilet 'black house' were very thoughtful and user friendly. The Royal Suite was practical and inovative.
We are definitely planning to return soon. I cannot recommend the whole experience enough. Bearing in mind we were riding bikes and considering the usual reaction we seem to generate. We were well received and made very welcome by all other campers and guests.
I'd like to wish John and Harvey every success for the future and if only more campsite owners could take a leaf out of their book we would sell the house and Yurt all over the country.

Had a great couple of nights here so much so that we are making the return trip this june.
Cracking place,great hosts and with good friends,cant realy get much better.

Amazing site to stay on, fantastic scenery. John & Harvie are welcoming and great hosts. the fresh daily bread and eggs are wonderful to have and the self serve veg patch a thoughful gesture. the wildlife around is wonderful to watch. the Black house is an invaulable resource with some where warm to sit and eat and wash up whilst meeting other campers. The toilet/ showers are warm and clean. the most unique and nicest campsite I have ever used. Thanks for a great break Harvie & John
