Reviews of Fidden Farm Campsite

Our family camped with our tent at this basic campsite for a couple of days in July 2009. As the name suggests the Fidden Farm Campsite is on farm land, so we had sheep walking around the tents, but honestly it wasn't a problem. The Fidden Farm Campsite also has some fantastic coast line around it with a good beach with white sand, so you will not be disappointed. If you have a canoe this is the p-lace to be. This campsite allows you to light a fire down on the beach which came in handy while watching the stunning views of Iona and the spectacular sunset.
There was a warm breeze there all the whole time we were there camping, but this meant no midges, so it was all good. The shower block gets top marks as it was brand new and very clean. To reach the Fidden Farm Campsite you head for Fionnphort on the West Coast of Mull.
The campsite is located about a mile down a single track road from Fionnphort. There was no shop at the Fidden campsite, but there was a couple of shops in Fionnphort which also had a great wee pub called The Keel Row that served nice bar meals which could also be ordered to take away. This campsite is very spacious, so that meant we had plenty of room to pitch our tent anywhere we wanted. The Fidden Farm Campsite seemed very popular with people who wanted to take the short ferry trip from Fionnphort to Iona to visit the Abbey. It didn't affect us as we were in a tent but the only downside for some people on the campsite was that there was no electric hookup for the caravans/ campervans.
I will return to Fidden Farm Campsite sometime in the future as it got top marks from all my family.
