On the western edge of the Lake District National Park
Our Club Site at Ravenglass was once part of the
Muncaster Estate. Set in six acres of mature woodland,
it lies on the outskirts of the pretty fishing village which
shares its name, in the Lake District National Park.
The area is a walker’s paradise on Cumbria’s western
coast.
The site offers pitches for touring caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents and tents
?? Almost all pitches are hardstanding service
pitches apart from the tent areas
?? Set amongst the trees, the undulating site is well
sheltered but offers both open and shaded pitches
?? The four star facilities include a separate family /
disabled room, an internal wash-up room, laundry
and chemical disposal point
?? A licensed on-site shop sells local produce,
newspapers, gas and ice-pack freezing facilities
?? Television hook-up is available for just £1 a night
?? Backpackers are welcome
?? Free WiFi available
The seafront is 500 metres from the camp site – with
opportunities for fishing.
The village of Ravenglass has a Post Office, pubs and a
lovely natural harbour.
The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway – La’al Ratty – is a
narrow gauge railway running up to 16 trains a day.
Muncaster Castle is a great family day out. It is home to
the Pennington family.
A Roman bathhouse, with its 12ft high walls still
standing, is 500m from the site. The starting point for the
174 mile Hadrian’s Cycle Way.
