Derwentwater Ready Camp Glamping in Cumbria

Sitting pretty near the market town of Keswick is Derwentwater, our fantastic campsite that's perfectly placed to explore the Lake District. Glamping in Derwentwater is a heavenly experience, fusing the rustic earthy charm of camping with the little luxuries of home. Inside your own family-sized glamping tent you'll find comfy beds, soft furnishings, a dining area and even cooking equipment. The site itself is well-equipped with showers, toilets, laundry facilities and a washing-up area.

After a slap-up breakfast on the terrace, pull on your hiking boots and head into Keswick to explore its many varied shops, restaurants and museums. From here you can join some superb walking routes, such as the well-trodden trail leading from Keswick up to Mt Skiddaw - a 3,054 ft summit that dominates the northern lakes skyline. It's not for the faint-hearted, but the views are well worth the hike. Down at Derwentwater, try your hand at watersports on the lake or enjoy a relaxing afternoon at Hope Park - a real photogenic spot (perfect for picnics!) with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and rolling farmland. Hope Park has its own 9-hole golf course, putting green, a boules pit and even a crazy golf course.
