Coniston Hall Camping Site in Cumbria

This is a family favourite, and we have a large group holiday here each year in June. It is great for groups, for lake access, for a base for activity holidays. It can get very busy at school holidays, and is therefore not a quiet site at these times, particularly with people traipsing back from the pub at midnight! But a fun spot, with pretty basic amenities, but fantastic views across the lake to Brantwood. Family run for years, the site is maintained to a reasonable level, and toilets and showers are cleaned regularly - 50p pieces needed for the showers, though. Also £5 needed as a deposit for the barrier pass. Small charge for boats to use the lake, but well worth it for the convenience from this site.
