Our pub is the Waggon and Horses, Eaton Nr. Congleton CW12 2JD
We are biker friendly, big car park, and big welcome to all. We are less than 10 miles from the peak district and the famous Cat and Fiddle road. You can camp or fetch your caravan Our restaurant serves freshly prepared food from an extensive Bar/A la Carte
menu, and on Sundays traditional roasts. The excellent food is accompanied by a wine list featuring both European and New World wines.
We now offer free wireless broadband to our customers.

For Caravan Club members, the Certificated Location (CL) makes a great place to escape to - in the countryside yet with all the convenience of being close to the shops and amenities offered by the town of Congleton, not to mention the advantage of being only a few steps from the pub and inviting restaurant.

This is a quiet site in a peaceful setting, offering five well-maintained grassy pitches with mains hook-up, water, chemical toilet disposal point and refuse bins. The area is very well kept and planted with a delightful selection of shrubs and flowers, making it more like a private garden than an average CL. It is screened and sheltered by mature trees at the back, and looks out over the pub garden to one side, and to open countryside to the other side and to the rear.

Access to the CL is excellent, via a tarmac drive running between the pub itself and the adjacent Cottage straight off the main road.

There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area, with National Trust properties at Little Moreton Hall and the beautiful Biddulph Grange Gardens, the historic stately homes of Capesthorne and Gawsworth, and of particular interest to children and teenagers the fascinating Jodrell Bank Radio Telescope and Visitor Centre with its interactive displays and planetarium. Also, we are bordering on to Staffordshire, where we have Spode and Wedgewood pottery for the adults and for the children Alton Towers Theme Park, Water World plus theatres, cinemas and the Potteries Shopping Centre.

Reviews of Waggon and Horses

Very Friendly staff at the waggon and horses and the food is very good. The pitch we had was very well kept although the site itself is on a hill so levellers are a must. I only gave it 4 stars as I feel the toilet block, 2 cubilcles in a portacabin, lets the site down. Having said that I would recommend the site, the 4 nights we spent there were very enjoyable
