Bishop Auckland lies in the Upper Wear Valley and is the gateway to the North Pennines with many site-seeing, rambling and industrial archaeological experiences. Club site is half a mile from Town centre. It is open grassland next to the River Wear, adjacent to signposted 'Weardale Way". In the town centre is the Tourist Information, shopping facilities and supermarkets. Site is within walking distance of Bishop's Palace and Escomb Saxon Church. Basic facilities on site: - water, rubbish disposal, chemical toilet point. Full site (with 2 electronic hook-ups) available Monday-Friday. Limited number of Pitches available Saturday/Sunday. Also available by arrangement are - On site toilet facilities and Showering. Durham City and Cathedral 20 minutes drive away.
