Hi, and welcome to our listing for a wonderful relaxing Holiday in the truly beautiful Dordogne department in the Aquitaine region of S.W. France.

We have available large family size frame tents set up and waiting for your arrival, all fully equipped with everything to make your holiday perfect.


Family size Frame Tent

These are ideal for couples or families, two adults + two children, though you could squeeze in a third!
Well equipped with a double bed, two single camping beds (a third can be provided), kitchen area with hob and small fridge.

Campsite details;

The site and lake are situated at St Aquilin in a valley full of sunflowers and vines on the D43 between the medieval market town of St.Astier and Ribérac. St Aquilin is a small village served by a restaurant with a small provisions shop, but it is only 10 minutes drive to a large hypermarket that is open all week including Sunday mornings.

It is a small family site of 6 hectares in a wooded setting and includes a 3 hectare fishing lake. The lake is stocked with numerous fish with some beautiful mirror and common carp of a good size, 200 trout have been introduced. Fish must be returned to the lake. You may, however, keep up to 2 trout to Bar B. Q. here by the lake. The cost per person is 10 Euros per week whilst camping. You fish at your own risk and children must be accompanied by an adult.

There is a white sandy beach by the side of the lake as well as a young child's activity frame. A small area of the lake has been roped off to allow people to paddle and to fish with the buckets, spades and nets that the site will provide. Picnic benches are
The Café /Bar is open from 10 am daily, bookings are taken for the Plat du Jour (dish of the day) which is then served at 8 pm. A traditional Sunday Carvery is available on the first Sunday of each month.
Wi-Fi is available in the bar and terrace area
Other on-site facilities include:

This is a small peaceful site and all guests should respect that fact with no noise after 11pm.
Could we please point out that this site is not suitable for those looking for masses of entertainment along the lines of Discos / karaoke.
It will best suit couples and those with younger children who are looking for a peaceful relaxing enjoyable time on a small site set amongst the local nature.

Price guide for Family size Frame Tents;

Low season £180 per week (7 nights).

Mid Season £250 per week (7 nights).

High season £325 per week (7 nights).

Prices are per week for a fully equipped family size Tent. (Will comfortably accommodate 2 adults + 2 children).

Prices do not include Ferry crossings or travel

Please note that during high season arrival / departure is strictly Saturday to Saturday.
Outside of high season we can most likely be flexible.

We ourselves will be on site all season to welcome you on arrival and, during your stay, will be on hand to help ensure that you have a great holiday experience!
