Trentfield Farm Camping and Caravanning is a small, professionally run and friendly camping and caravan site servicing the needs of both national and international visitors. We are ideally situated for visiting the World Famous area of Sherwood Forest, The Cathedral City of Lincoln, Beautiful Clumber and Rufford Parks and the surrounding areas, and work on the policy of old fashioned camping and caravanning with all the new amenities and mod-cons!

The site is level and free draining and we pride ourselves very much in keeping the site neat, clean and tidy. 16 Amp electric hook ups are on the site each with nearby taps, so no need to trek miles for your water. The site has Private river frontage with free course fishing for customers on the river, we also have two carp lakes but 10 minutes down the road for a small fee. In the village there is the country pub the Ferry Boat Inn. Just a short walk away and it serves a delicious menu with cask ales all from a very friendly team of staff. Two excellent golf courses are only a short drive away. For more details click here or follow the Facility's link. Each customer is provided with a comprehensive information pack on arrival and customer survey card.

Our 2015 Tariff starts at £10.00 for a single backpacker up to £22.50 for a fully serviced pitch including 2 people, electric and an adjacent water tap.

Just got back from Trenetfields, stayed for a wkend break. On arrival, met by friendly helpful staff (one of which was very happy to lend me 2 cups as i had forgotten the essentails for a welcome cup of tea). Site spotlessly clean and met all requirements for a happy stay. We have a dog, so nice walks along the Trent meant we were all happy. Would def. recommend a visit & we will def. return. Thanks to all there. Sandra Kev & Fern

Had a super weekend camping at Trentfield Farm whilst visiting Waddington Air Show, Clumber Park and Sherwood Forest for a long weekend.

The caravans and tents were split between 2 fields, both with nearby water to pitches, up to date 16amp hook ups points were on both fields. The amenities block was centrally located and adjacent to the office. Each toilet had 3 toilet and 3 showers. These were immaculate!, Italian tiled floors and walls on a campsite, incredible. In addition there are 2 washing machines, tumble drier, iron etc for those wanting to wash clothes in a well equipped laundry room. (Book swap / 24 Hr Vending Shop with Eggs bread milk etc.)

The kitchen has about 7 sinks all provided with bowls. The cleanliness extends to every part of the site, not a drop of litter anywhere. Even the Elsan point has flowers round it.

The wardens were extremely polite and very helpful, and every customer gets a really useful booklet with what's in the area, (including walks, visits etc.) as well as where supermarkets, doctors, vets etc. are.

Some people have commented on the nearby power station, however, you only notice it once and it did not make any noise whist we stayed. The sites very family orientated and had everyone quiet by about 11.15pm. (The wardens had a wander round to ensure everyone's behaving!)

The pub which is about an 8 minute walk was really nice, again, with friendly people and did food for the evenings that we visited. This is a lovely walk along the banks of the River Trent (which has free fishing if you stay on the site). The village has its own brewery and is about a half hour walk away, we did a brewery tour on our last day which was a bit poor to be honest, and cost £7.50 each. The pub near the campsite sells ales from the brewery too at a very reasonable cost.

We could have spent a week here really, its close to Gainsborough, Newark, Lincoln and the market town of Retford, as well as everything around Sherwood. Around the site are miles of tracks and single track roads (level) for cycling and 3 golf courses near by too. Will no doubt be back. Great site - 8 out of 10.
