Welcome to Green Haven Camping. We have a lovely setting, an ideal location for exploring Suffolk and Norfolk, coast (Southwold) and countryside; a modern, warm and clean uni-sex toilet and shower block; 7 electric hook ups; a friendly pub just up the road and local produce and camping supplies available.

We can host 5 caravans or motor homes and up to 15 tents. The campsite is a grass field but we keep the grass long between pitches and along the path. We aim to create a relaxing and secluded environment for camping. Rather than a traditional open plan campsite, we are creating a wildlife garden in which to stay. We've planted lots of native hedging and plants to provide fantastic habitats for wildlife and campers.

To help keep the peaceful feel, parking is separate from the camping. Cars can tow caravans on and off the site. A garden trolley is provided to transport your tents and belongings. Cars are just a few meters away in the parking area. If this poses a problem for you, please let us know when you make a booking and we will help.

We have a modern, clean and airy uni-sex toilet block with underfloor heating, wash facilities and showers. The toilets are flushed with harvested rain water and much of the electricity on the Green Haven site is generated by our field-mounted solar panels. We have a covered washing up area. In the future we hope to install a composting toilet.

There is a small reception area with plenty of information about what to do in the locality. We have eggs, yogurts, butter, jam, apple juice and other local produce available for sale. A raw milk producer means that orders can be taken and fresh milk supplied and a nearby ice-cream maker provides delicious ice creams.

We encourage you to produce as little landfill waste as possible and provide good recycling and composting facilities.

Reviews of Green Haven Camping

We stayed for three nights. Stuart met us on arrival and was very helpful. The site is very small, but the amenities are first class and family orientated. Definitely need a car to get around as the village is well into the countryside. I would recommend to any family for a short stay.

Thanks very much for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. We are in a rural spot but a small town is less than 10 minutes drive away. There is a great local pub (just over 5 minutes walk) and we provide a few basic supplies in our Provisions Place.
Excellent small friendly site. Very eco friendly, clean and quiet. Pitches are generous and facilities good, with two showers, two toilets, wash basin and washing up area. Also availability of fridge/freezer for campers to use, which is great.
Many good walks around site and a friendly pub 10 minutes walk away.
Would highly recommend.

Thanks for your review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again.
We are a family with 4 young children(all under 5)

What a fantastic site, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and was able to relax to the max! The facilities; a new toilet block with 2 showers, 2 toilets and a sink cubicle; very modern and exceptionally clean! 50p per shower and we managed to wash all four kids at once (this is encouraged to save water!). The room next door has a variety of products for sale under a honesty system and you are able to order specifics for delivery the following day, you can even order a shop for your arrival! outside is a sink wash for your dirty plates!

The site is a car free zone, though the car park is no more than 15m from any pitch and vehicle in full view. The best bit about this is that kids can enjoy playing without fear of traffic.

There is opportunity to hire/take fire pits and have a good old camping fire which is a great experience.

The site is a run by a caring and relaxed couple who are themselves campers, therefore, understand your needs; if you want a relaxed site with all the necessary facilities then this is it! I wholly recommend at stay whether for 1 night or 2 weeks!

Fantastic campsite. Lovely hosts and beautiful setting. Washrooms and showers are superb, very clean and very modern. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and were pleasantly surprised by what we found to do in the area. Pub in Rumburgh is very closeby and serves good food and great ale. Overall 5 stars and will go back again!

Thanks for taking the time to write your lovely review.
This site is a real cracker - the toilet/shower/washroom will become a legend, as good as a % star hotel. At first glance, may not be the ideal area but it IS. Lovely village with a proper pub (with good (folky) music, food and within walking distance). Good mfor Southwold, Walberswick, Minsmere etc. The air museum at Flixton is quite close and you could spend a whole (free) day there.

Thank you for writing us such a lovely review. We do have some great places to visit round here, or pretty walks to take straight from the campsite gate.
