Martello Beach Holiday Park in Essex

I booked onto this site for a little mini break away when I first saw the pictures I thought to myself wow this looks lovely so I decided to book it we arrived on Friday early which was fine but when we got there no one was there but I didn’t mind as we got there early so we decided to walk around and have a look we thought to ourselves ok this isn’t to bad anyway we looked into the shop and booked in at reception but we’re told our caravan wasn’t ready yet which was fine we didn’t think it would be anyway we were given our passes and told that if we wanted to go swimming we had to book I thought ok this is very strange you should never have to do that on a holiday campsite but ok everywhere is different anyway we then went to check out the arcade and the show bar which looked nice all the machines where being worked on which I thought was very good then we see the restaurant and decided to look at the breakfast menu we went upto the bar to order and the cash machine wasn’t working hasn’t been working all weekend and the card machine wasn’t working either the guy behind the bar didn’t seem like he cared and wasn’t very sorry for the way he spoke to me I then asked where the nearest cash point was to be told NO I don’t I thought that was rude I was explaining to him we have never been here before and it’s our first time here but anyway walked away we were then told there was another site that we could use so we walked there first impression was good on the other campsite we went we had breakfast and took a walk back to the site our overall experience of Martello beach was shocking if we didn’t have such a nice and clean caravan we would have left on Friday some staff members rude insects in food and hair also found in food and then all the machines in the arcades not working which was awful I paid good money for a holiday we left a day earlier because I just couldn’t be there anymore really will not be coming here again the campsite it self was very disappointing I am not happy at all I have never known any campsite to book when you go swimming and to only get 45 mins that’s outrageous when i go on holiday I want to be able to chill out and relax and I couldn’t do that here did not feel welcomed at all everyone has there own opinions but I’m a very unhappy customer and really do think things need to be improved I won’t be returning ever again

Don't be put off by the approach to this exellent site,this is 1 of my top five exactly what it says on the tin need i say more. PS sorry took so long to write review.
