Debden House Centre in Essex

I just love this place I love coming here for a nice relaxing break not much for teenagers to do apart from get lost in the forest for a few hours not that iam making a complaint lol toilets are clean showers are clean our pitch is always nice and big and love the fire at night their is a play park for smaller children and you can hire bikes I will say this can be expensive at 10 pound per hour and I feel mabe you should get a discount on the bike while camping this is really the only expense while there if you take own food ect their is a café I found this cheap and not bad at all it has security men coming round in vans to make sure everything is ok a few times a day . there is a place to wash plates ect depending on what field you pick will depend on how far you have to walk to washing up unit showers ect field are all big but if you like it small and quite then field 2 is for you .if you like the woods a few steps from your tent then pick a larger field .. but when booking its hard to get the field you want as all seems booked up so book early I enjoy every time I go even keeps saying going to try other camp sites but keep returning here cant say anything about staff all been nice and pleasant enjoy

The campsite location is great.....no problems....however!!! when checking in I pulled my car over to the reception hut and only then saw no parking sign, the sign pointing to the car park is obscured by another sign when you drive in, was just about to reverse when a site worker pulled up behind me in landrover hooting, came storming up to my car and when I wound down my window about to say sorry and I would move immediately, he screamed in my face and pointed so agressively toward me I really thought he would punch me. As a woman not used to violence I found this shocking and scary and really feel I should warn other people what to expect at the moment with current staff. I have camped here loads of times, but not again!!!

It was my birthday weekend n we decided to stay local, and we are glad we did!
The campsite was clean, the toilet and showers were very clean with hot running water.
The security was always driving around to check all was ok and they were very friendly.
The biggest bonus was that there was mounds of wood ie pallets and doors that we could build a campfire, which we could take as and when!
I will definatly be going back and would reccomend to anyone who is thinking of camping there!
