New tent range breaks the mould
A new range of tents has been launched that offers a new aesthetic for happy campers, reports Creative Review.
Writing for the design website, Mark Sinclair explained that the FieldCandy collection opts against the usual style of tent, creating products featuring the US flag, a brick wall pattern and a patchwork quilt option among others.
The company has released a poster to show off their range of designs to camping enthusiasts, which also includes one that looks like the inside of a watermelon and another that camouflages the tent to an extent with its scene of two sheep in a field.
Mr Sinclair remarked: "Festival goers often have trouble locating their tents within a sea of muddy green, brown and blue tarpaulin. FieldCandy, a new design-led tent manufacturer no less, may well have the answer."
Further new designs look set to appear in the tent market after Gala Tent and the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy teamed up to design a new product, reported the Yorkshire Post.
Students from the educational institution - founded by Dragons' Den star Peter Jones - will have consultations with professional developers to discuss their proposals, with the winner's design due to be mass produced and the maker set to receive five per cent of the profits.
