Book your spot early, say Isle of Man TT organisers
Visitors to this year's Isle of Man TT motorcycle race are advised to book their campsite spots and transport early as a renowned bike manufacturer is due to make an epic comeback in 2012.
According to UltimateMotorcycling.com, MV Agusta will be gracing the tarmac in next year's race - making the 2012 Tourist Trophy an unmissable event for motor sport fans.
The Italian bike manufacturer has won an impressive 34 TT wins and 61 podiums between 1952 and 1972. Its motorcycles have been ridden by the much lauded multiple Grand Prix winner, Giacomo Agostini, who won 10 TTs with the bikes.
As one of the most prestigious, spectacular events on the racing calendar, visitors are being advised to book their transport and accommodation to the island early.
Event spokesperson Simon Crellin said that trying to fit 40,000 motorcycle enthusiasts onto a small piece of land has a tendency to stretch the available resources. The Isle of Man has one of the most concentrated amount of campsites in England due to its size and every one is destined to fill up quickly.
Another thing to consider is getting the ferry booked as soon as possible, continued Mr Crellin. He says that it's one of the first things to sell out and it's the only way of getting on and off the island.
However he told AFerry.co.uk: "There's plenty more to do on the Isle of Man (IOM) so if you can't get off for a couple of days, enjoy everything else that the IOM has to offer."
