York Marine's base offers a small secluded site, located in beautiful surroundings on the edge of the River Ouse.
We are just two miles from historic York and perfectly located for those wishing to visit and explore the Yorkshire Coast, North Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Dales.
The site is licensed to accept caravans, motor homes and tents. We are open from Easter to October 31st.
We are a peaceful, family oriented site and as such pets are welcome. Shops are available (approx 250 yards) for groceries, milk, eggs, newspapers etc.

Reviews of Riverside Camping And Caravan (York Marine Services)
Just visited Riverside Camping and really enjoyed the stay. We took full advantage of the hourly boat rental service and got to see York from the River. Although the weather wasn't perfect, the staff were all very helpful, the facilities clean and the view very peaceful. Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit York, especially if you like to see the countryside and the relaxing of what the city has to offer.
stayed here many times over the last twenty years both in tents and motor home. freindly couple who meet and greet, facillities were allways very basic but OK. prices to reflect. now the site has been upgraded the prices have rocketed, lot cheaper to stay at other sites closer to york, or in a B&B.

duely noted by all of us here on site. truth is, we have invested in a brand new high grade toilet/shwoer block and laundry room for campers' use, and offer a catering facility and riverview. £21/night includes 2 adults, your car and your caravan, motorhome or tent.

Boat rental from here, my advice? don't.
Broken tv, non working sockets, mouldy bloodstained mattress cover, cracked loo seat, broken shower holder,lost day due to electrical breakdown, no advice on lock use or operation.
Letter of complaint (sent 'signed for'), three weeks of silence!
No attempt to address complaints. No interest either.
Really, really poor service run/owned by a man who describes himself thus" I am a small builder and don't get down here much". Enough said? Should have gone to Hoseasons.

Note to all future campers: Please understand that Riverside Caravan & Camping Park has undergone several changes in the past few years and would truly appreciate any opportunity to right it's past faults.
